Welcome to Bayside Gardens!

We are a small family farm situated in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Our maritime growing season is perfect for growing big, tasty, gourmet garlic.

Bayside Gardens is a small family farm started by a mom, Dianne Sheldon and her daughter Karina Blanchard. Woman owned and family operated, we strive to succeed in an ever changing economy where we feel our values of hard work, strong morals, compassion for our community and independence from corporate dominance will only help us to achieve our goals.

We love where we live and cherish the water, land and animals that thrive here. That’s why we believe in and practice organic, sustainable farming. And don’t forget, it’s better for people, too!

We  will have a minimal amount of garlic available this year as we have planted a cover crop of buckwheat in a good portion of our garlic beds. We look forward to 2014 to be a big year for us in gourmet organic garlic. Check back often to see the new varities we are adding.

 

We practice sustainability on our farm to keep the soil healthy as well as the array of wild animals that make our area their home. There are a number of bald eagles, osprey, herons, owls, deer and of course bunnies that we see daily. Mother Nature irrigates our garlic, so we don’t have to (if you are in an area of low yearly rainfall, plan to irrigate your garlic). We are proud to say we do not use gmo’s, pesticides, or other chemicals. It’s simply not healthy and we won’t do it. For our local customers: We are open this year every Friday and Saturday, May 3rd through October 2013. 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Selling organic produce and nursery plants.

We’ll be open for Harvest Jubilee, September 28 & 29th (Sat. & Sun.). We’re listed in the 2013 Four Seasons Farm Guide. Stop by for organically grown gourmet garlic, fresh vegetables, fruit and specialty gifts.
